Havasu Street Drags

November 2nd-4th

UPDATE!

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED, WE WILL POST MORE INFO WHEN AVAILABLE.

The first annual Havasu Street Drags will be held on Nov.2nd through the 4th with the traditional 1/16 mile track on Lake Havasu Ave in front of Autozone and Big 5.

Street Nologe Performance has been trying to get a Big Dog Import class where slick would be allowed but not required. The promoter is trying to see if there is enough room in the event for an additional class. As a back up plan we were offered a lane in the Grudge match 2 to hold our own class. More info will be posted soon.

Kingman 2011 Race Scedule as posted by Kingmantourism.org

Kingman Street Drags Print

The Napa Racing Kingman Street Drags are back!

After going dark in 2010, the world’s largest legal street drags event will bring Historic Downtown Kingman to life this September with burnout plumbs and thunderous roars of muscle cars and trucks.

Kingman Street Drags Burnout Contest

The Kingman Street Drags  are coordinated by the Route 66 Wings & Wheels Association. These people know cars, and they know drags. Which is a good thing - because it takes some 250 volunteers to make things happen. The same group hosted the Kingman Sand Drags, bringing quality competitors in alcohol cars, buggies and quads from all Arizona and the Western US.

2011 promises to be a great show. The first two day event in 2008 brought over 15,000 spectators and 246 racers. This September spectators will experience a three day automotive bonanza, racing no less than eight classes.

“This is the only official, fully timed drag race down main street Route 66 in the world” says Brian Devincenzi, Association President.

The Kingman Street Drags attracts some wicked machines - Street Rods, Pro-Street, Funny Cars, Blown Alcohol Dragsters and your mama’s Chevy Belair - all going down a 1/8 mile historic drag strip retrofitted from an otherwise quite city street

Three Days will consist of races broken up by Burn Out Contests and some entertaining publicity stunts – like the traditional race between Mohave County Sheriff Tom Sheahan and Kingman Chief of Police Bob DeVries.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday, September 30
6pm – 10pm
Saturday, October 1
10am – 10pm
Sunday, October 2
11am – 4pm

It's dificult for find any type of organized FULL RACE SCHEDULE but I'll post it as I find it.
